Silicon Valley's very own ghost town. The weathered
tumbled shacks lining the tracks on Station Island are all that
remain of a once bustling hub. The South Coast Railway
gave "Saline City" its birth, a single home for the drawbridge
operator. Soon cabins sprung up as the reputation as a
sportsman's paradise spread throughout the Bay Area.
Businesses soon followed. (A feathered version of the
California Gold Rush.) Pollution and subsidence of the once
pristine Bay only hastened the demise of the little town.
We hope you enjoy this bit of history brought to you in
prints and cards as only Andi could envision the ruins.
